Charles E. Ganley

Charles Ganley is the sole shareholder in the Law Offices of Charles E. Ganley, LLC, with offices located in Gettysburg, Chambersburg, Waynesboro and McConnellsburg, PA, where he practices Labor and Employment Law, Civil Rights and Workers’ Compensation law.

Charley graduated from the University of Maryland, summa cum laude, in 1981, and from Ohio Northern University College of Law, With Distinction, in 1986.

Prior to moving to Pennsylvania, Charley worked as a Deputy Associate Chief Counsel with the United States Department of Labor, Benefits Review Board in Washington, D.C.

Charley served as an adjunct instructor at Penn State’s Mont Alto campus from 1991 until 2003 and currently serves as faculty for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute from 2003 through the present.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar as well as a Bar member of the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the Middle, Eastern and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. In 2005 he was appointed to the Panel of Certified Mediators for Federal Court cases in the Harrisburg region for Employment and Civil Rights cases.

In April 2004, the International Association of Assistance Dog Partners (an international disability rights organization) awarded Charley the “Spirit of Advocacy Award” in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he was saluted as an “intrepid lawyer for recognizing the stakes involved and investing so much time in research and trial preparation so as to mount an effective defense of our access rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act.”
